In March this year, our Union Council, and heads of Baptist Agencies were treated to an Up Close and Personal with Elijah Brown, the General Secretary of the Baptist World Alliance. The General Secretary is the CEO of the BWA, has overall responsibilities for the administration and operations of the organization, and is its chief representative to global organizations and institutions, ecclesial and secular, as well as governments.
Elijah is an engaging speaker and shared many stories of visiting Baptist churches and projects around the globe.
Elijah was in Australia visiting each state to promote the Baptist Word Congress being held Australia in 2025. The Congress will be held in Queensland and will be a wonderful gathering of Baptists from every tribe and nation.
