Communications

The Communications Team informs, inspires, resources and connects church leaders and pastors through communication channels, events and training and by maintaining accurate database records to support engagement and connection.

Communications and Content Management

The team is responsible for the planning and direction of all BUV communications, including managing the BUV brand voice and image. Key tasks involve planning and scheduling all communication across all channels, agency collaboration, and media liaison to ensure consistent messaging across platforms.

Informing churches involves curating, designing, and distributing regular publications such as the fortnightly Bulletin, social media, , role based emails, the prayer calendar and fundraising campaigns (e.g.Stand with Myanmar).

Inspiring churches involves curating, producing and distributing stories through the website, TOGETHER e-Magazine and social media.  The management of bulk emails, newsletters, and other communication tools is on audience segmentation through database integration.

Resourcing churches involves the production of devotion series, podcasts, the curation of Members Packs, Consultation Forum Packs, and the dissemination of information gathered through the discernment process opportunities.

Event Planning and Oversight

This team has oversight over all BUV events from major gatherings, organization-wide programs to internal staff events, whilst maintaining an accurate annual Events Calendar.  Responsibilities include event planning advice, registrations, promotion and operational logistics.  Event budgets, payments, and reconciliations are handled alongside maintaining attendee records in the database.

The team also manage the BUV online training opportunities, adding as many training programmes to the website as possible. This includes the Creating Safe Spaces programme, PSW’s and other role based training programmes.

Database and Systems Administration

Central to this role is the management of the BUV Salesforce database, ensuring accurate and current records for churches, contacts, and event data. Integration of systems and automation of processes across communication platforms is achieved through comms software applications. The team build all necessary surveys and forms, enabling seamless data collection and reporting. Support Hub staff are also trained on database management and other tools to ensure efficiency.

The team oversee the distribution and updating of statistical forms (Finance, Flourishing Church Surveys, and Ministry Stats), maintaining accuracy of church records within the database.
