In 2014, the BUV allocated resources to the Church Development Fund to demonstrate our commitment to partner with our Victorian Baptist churches in facilitating mission and outreach.
The BUV Leadership Team overseas this Fund and annually, a Mission Grants budget is steward by the Mission Catalyst Team (MCT) with the assistance of the Mission Grant Committee (MGC) which comprises of select group of pastors and missional leaders of diverse backgrounds. The MCT consultants initially investigates the submissions and coach the grant applicants prior to the MGC meeting. They may request applicants to submit more evidence to substantiate the application or conduct on-site meetings before presenting the submissions to the MGC for assessment.
MGC makes recommendations to the BUV Leadership Team for funding. The BUV Leadership team deliberates the recommendations and makes the final decision.
The BUV Leadership Team reserves the right to provide grants to deserving applicants; and on exceptional occasions, without going through the MGC.
Normally, the Missions Grant Committee meets two times a year, around May and October. Deadlines for submission of applications are April 30 and September 30. Please ensure that your completed application form is submitted by these dates for it to be considered for the year applied.
